Average review score:

Super InformativeAn ESSENTIAL addition to any potters studio! This one is definitely a keeper. There is so much more to this book than meets the eye. You will never be at a loss for an answer to any question you ever had. I've found that this book has given me some of the best ideas I've ever come across. Even if you don't have any questions this book will DEFINITELY give you something to keep the creative juices flowing!

Backcountry Banff
Published in Paperback by Luminous Compositions Ltd. (August, 2001)
Average review score:

Very comprehensiveA very comprehensive and detailed guide to many of the lesser known trails (as well as the more known ones). Many of the maps are good, some are clearly lacking detail; however, it allows the natural sense of adventure to flourish in the beautiful environs. The book provides a wonderful overview of the area when the chapters are put together. Mike's directional ordering made it very easy to connect one trail with another for a day of small hikes or a day of longer hikes. I traveled too late to stay at any of the backcountry campsites covered; however, we did follow some of the hikes to/from, and they were incredible. I highly recommend travelling to this area immediately after Labor Day as there are fewer crowds.

Beading Reader ReviewFascinating and practical, and gloriously photographed. I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone interested in beading or needlework in general, whatever level of experience or interest. Full of solid advice and easy to read.

Beatrix Potter Decoupage
Published in Paperback by Frederick Warne & Co (October, 1999)
Average review score:

Beatrix Potter DecoupageBeatrix Potter Decoupage is excellent for parents and children alike who adore the creations of Beatrix Potter. This book provides all of the information necessary to create lavish nusery accessories from Potter's art by hand. This book made for the frugal in mind teaches, for example, how to make a decoupaged lamp. I myself wanted to have this beautiful nursery accessory but could only find Beatrix Potter collections in expensive beautiques. With this book I was able to decorate en entire nursery for only a fraction of the cost. And knowing about Potter's life and her simplicity, I feel that she would prefer it that way!

Beatrix Potter Mini Pocket Page Photo Album
Published in Hardcover by C R Gibson Co (2000)
Average review score:

Nice and PracticalI was looking for a nice photo album which could be at the same time both beautiful and practical. I found this to be the case as it has the right size to carry it and show it around and at the same time I can use it to decorate my new baby's book shelves.

Beatrix Potter's Art
Published in Hardcover by Frederick Warne & Co (January, 1900)
Average review score:

A Real DelightThis is an outstanding book and a must-have for those who love Beatrix Potter's work. While most people think of Potter as the author of those delightful children's books, this book shows the full range of her work. Anne Stevenson Hobbs did an outstanding job in presenting the art in a very enjoyable manner - a real plus for those lucky enough to own this book.

Beatrix Potter's Country Cooking
Published in Hardcover by Frederick Warne & Co (October, 1991)
Average review score:

Beatrix Potter's Country CookingI originally bought this book as a gift for a Beatrix Potter fan, but soon realized I had to have a copy for myself. Potter fans and cookbook collectors alike will relish the fine color photos and illustrations as much as the tasty, and very English recipes. How about a nice "Steak, Kidney and Oyster Pudding with a Guiness Gravy"? (page 50). Ms. Williams, the author, also does a fine job with the introduction in which she gives us a synopsis of Beatrix Potter's life, from London to her beloved Lake District where many of the book's recipes were collected. By the way, if you have ever worried about how to deal with such "English" ingredients as "dark treacle", a Glossary of British Terms with American Equivalents is included (dark treacle = molasses). Book length is 176 pages, about 3/4 inch thick, with photos or illustrations on nearly every page - very satisfying for those of us who like our cookbooks to be pretty as well as functional.

Beatrix Potter's Nursery Rhyme Book
Published in School & Library Binding by Viking Press (September, 1984)
Average review score:

Surely a winnerThis is a wonderful book for adults and children alike. It's printed in Singapore, as one can readily tell from the book's hefty semi-gloss paper and wonderful inked colors. The cover, uniquely padded and soft, begs for little hands to hug it and carry it around. Complete with all the Beatrix Potter illustrations generations have come to love, the rhymes are clever, simple and sure to become a night-time story frequent request. The size of the book is ample, good for sharing/holding the book between child and parent.

Being Belonging Doing: Balancing Your Three Greatest Needs
Published in Paperback by New Harbinger Pubns (April, 1998)
Average review score:

Excellent!Just what I needed! I've been working on self improvement, recovery and healing for years but felt lost as far as how to get myself integrated and balanced. This is a great book for getting organized with all these realizations popping up all over the place in the psychological-emotional-spiritual process. IMO the author is top-notch, enlightened and has a gift for explaining things in an easy to understand way. Also, I appreciate how this book is framed in the positive. So often these kind of books will focus on a topic like depression or anxiety and I'll feel even more bummed from reading them. This book is very helpful as well as uplifting. I've read a couple other books by this author(s) and they were great, too.
